A new chapter for Hair Studio Helsinki

Hair Design Helsinki opened a brand-new chapter in the city centre, relocating from Katariinankatu to a fresh space on Fredrikinkatu.

Our goal was to design a salon that feels instantly calm and elevated, more like a boutique lounge than a traditional waiting area. Soft, sculptural seating creates a “sit down and exhale” moment right at the front window, framed by warm sheer curtains and a greenery line-up that brings the street-facing space to life.

A rich, warm palette and tactile materials set the tone: velvet-like upholstery, dark stone surfaces with bold veining, and subtle golden accents that catch the light throughout the day. Statement pendants add a playful, graphic glow overhead, while the darker ceiling pulls everything together into a cozy, contemporary atmosphere.

The result is a modern Helsinki salon experience: relaxed, refined, and designed to support both the client journey and the everyday work of the team, welcoming from the first glance in, and memorable long after the appointment.
