Taking the inspiration from the legendary award winning Café Europa in Tampere, established in 1995, Restamax Oyj opened the second Café Europa restaurant – designed by Visionary Design Partners Helsinki – in Pori, Finland in April 2015.
Café Europa was decorated with a variety of old furniture, which gives a nice carefree atmosphere into the space. The brick walls and old furniture fit well together, creating a relaxed and lounge-like atmosphere. Café Europa is all about lightness & joy, every lamp and chair is different, deliberately, authentic carpets create coziness and warmth into the space too.
Genuine wooden table tops were intentionally left with a rough surface. The legs of the low wood tables are made of thick water pipe. The bar counter was tiled with a collection of different tiles. Large windows floods in with light and warm air throughout the front wall, which opens directly to the outside, onto a comfortable terrace, where the living room-like interior continues.
But, all in all, the best thing about Café Europa is still the customers…
