Working with us
Where do you work — is VDP Helsinki only for clients in Helsinki?
Our studio is based in Helsinki, but we work across Finland and take on international projects. Past work includes venues throughout Finland and in Europe — Switzerland, Sweden, and Estonia. Distance is rarely a barrier when the project is the right fit.
What types of spaces does VDP Helsinki design?
We specialise in commercial interiors with a strong focus on the hospitality industry — restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, and public venues. We also take on selected office and private residential projects. If your space needs to perform beautifully while making a lasting impression, we’re the right fit.
How long does an interior design project typically take?
It depends on the scale and complexity of the space, including any building permit processes, but a typical restaurant or hospitality project runs between 3 and 6 months from brief to completion. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the outset — and we take punctuality seriously. We have never missed a deadline, because delays cost money.

Yes. Our portfolio includes work for S-ryhmä (S-Group), Sokos Hotels, NoHo Partners, Lapland Hotels, Restel, Revier Hotels and a range of independent restaurant and hotel operators. We bring the same level of care, passion and creativity to a boutique opening as to a national chain rollout.

What does a full-service interior design project look like with VDP Helsinki?
We handle the entire process — from initial concept and space planning through material selection, procurement, supplier and builder coordination, and final installation. We present options and recommendations — and you make the final decision on which suppliers and contractors join the project. You get one point of contact from first meeting to opening day. This turn-key approach keeps projects on schedule, on budget, and consistent in quality throughout.
