Exciting New Design Project for Revier Hotel Säntispark
Grüezi, Bonjour, Ciao, Bun di, or simply Hello from Hotel Säntispark!
Nestled on the western edge of St. Gallen in northeastern Switzerland, Hotel Säntispark is beautifully situated between Mount Säntis and Lake Constance. It offers a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and modern amenities, making it an ideal destination for both business and leisure travelers.
We are thrilled to announce our participation in the upcoming renewal project of Hotel Säntispark, set to begin in early 2025. This extensive renovation will bring a complete revamp to the hotel’s lobby, reception, restaurants, and meeting facilities, infusing them with a fresh and modern look & feel, meticulously designed by VDP Helsinki.
Hotel Säntispark in Abtwil becomes a Revier Hotel
What has been anticipated is now being implemented. After the sale of Hotel Säntispark by Migros Ostschweiz to the Fortimo Group, the well-established hotel will be renovated and reopened as Revier Hotel Säntispark in the spring of 2025. This will bring the Revier family to a total of six hotels, including the Revier Mountain Lodge in Saas-Fee, which is set to open later this year.
The hotel will be closed during a four-month renovation period from January to April 2025. The public areas will be completely redesigned and expanded. In addition to a new seminar reception and an innovative bar concept, the infrastructure will be enhanced with additional seminar rooms, working spaces, and a children’s club. With Revier Hotel Säntispark, the “Revier” brand will be deliberately expanded to include business and family hospitality for the first time. The renovation aims to meet the modern demands of these guest segments with an innovative design and lifestyle concept, setting new standards in the hotel industry.

Entry into a new business segment
As part of the renovation, 18 rooms will be converted into Smart Studios. With this new room concept, the group is entering the mid- and long-stay business, which is particularly popular among business travelers. Depending on the configuration, the rooms can accommodate families of up to four people or business travelers on extended stays, and they will feature a kitchenette, bathroom, living room, desk, and a separable bedroom. The development of this new concept comes from within the company and will be implemented for the first time with the renovation of Hotel Säntispark.
Finnish design
With the reopening and the associated rebranding, the future Revier Hotel Säntispark will present a groundbreaking design concept developed by the internationally renowned interior design firm Visionary Design Partners Helsinki. This redesign elevates the hotel to a new level and underscores Revier Hotels’ position as a leader in the industry.
About Hotel Säntispark
Hotel Säntispark, with its 124 rooms and extensive meeting facilities, is one of the largest hotels in Eastern Switzerland. It offers two restaurants, a bar, spacious outdoor areas with a park, and the adjacent leisure pool of the same name, providing a unique range of recreational activities. The Swiss Olympic Medical Center operated by Medbase AG is also integrated into the complex. On October 1, 2022, the Fortimo Group AG purchased the hotel from Migros Ostschweiz, and since then, it has been managed by REVIER Hospitality Group.
